DL Steel Services was created to close a gap in the steel detailing, engineering, and estimating world: the choice often felt like either a high-priced boutique firm or a low-cost, high-volume provider where quality could be inconsistent. We knew there had to be a better middle ground. 

After more than 25 years in construction, specializing in steel, glass, and complex metal systems, David Lopez saw that the industry was missing a partner who could deliver top-tier work without forcing clients to overpay for it. He also noticed a real difference in quality between some affordable offshore support teams and the higher-priced, U.S.-based designers and estimators. The solution wasn’t choosing one over the other. It was building a team where both could work together at the highest standard.

Over the last five years, David has carefully developed and refined a dual U.S. and offshore model built around one principle: experience first, quality always. Today, our team combines seasoned American leadership and project oversight with elite offshore talent—detailers, estimators, and engineers who are tested, trained, and fully aligned with our standards. The result is a streamlined, highly responsive group that produces precise, reliable deliverables you can trust.

For projects that demand an extra level of artistry and precision, we also maintain a USA/Philippine ornamental team dedicated to high-end metal and glass projects. These are the projects where craftsmanship, aesthetics, and constructability all have to meet at the highest level, and our ornamental team brings deep experience in delivering exactly that.
